Claire and Rob’s wedding at Ma Maison in Dripping Springs was an absolute DREAM. I first met these two back in February when they signed up for my Valentine’s Mini Sessions and was so excited when they asked me to shoot their wedding day! They have a love story that spans across the country and I’m so thankful to have been a part of their next chapter.
They started their special day by getting ready at Ma Maison. Claire and her bridesmaids toasted with champagne in the bridal suite as they were pampered by Lola Beauty, who did such an incredible job with everyone’s hair and makeup!
Once everyone was finished getting ready, Claire did a first look with her dad (in his cool powder blue suit!) and then another first look with her bridesmaids. First looks are so special. I love capturing the emotional moments that result from them!
After her first looks, I took Claire and her bridesmaids to the green cathedral for their bridal party photos. They turned out so pretty and their gorgeous bouquets were made by Mabry with Foxglove and Grace. The cathedral at Ma Maison was on my bucket list of places I wanted to photograph in Austin and I’m so happy with how stunning these photos turned out.
We also got photos of Rob and his groomsmen toasting the day under the terrace and some very GQ shots of Rob in front Ma Maison’s glass doors.
After we finished with getting ready photos and formal portraits, Claire and Rob were tucked away with their friends and family to relax before their sunset ceremony. I love that they had downtime before the ceremony so that they didn’t have to worry about being rushed throughout their day!
Claire walked down the aisle to a Thousand Years by Christina Perry played on violin. What a moment! It was so romantic, which I’m sure you can tell from the photo below of Rob seeing Claire for the first time that day.
After the ceremony Claire and Rob rang the bell at Ma Maison, which is a tradition almost all of their couples partake in. I loved being able to photograph this moment right after they were officially married. You can see how excited they were!
Next on the agenda were family photos which were super streamlined because of their incredible wedding planner from Heavenly Day Events. All of the hours of prep that went into their special day was absolutely worth it. Everything was so intentionally and meticulously planned, thanks to Taylor! If you’re currently planning your wedding I highly recommend looking into Heavenly Day Events. Claire and Rob’s wedding at Ma Maison couldn’t have gone any smoother! After family photos, we did more photos at the green cathedral with the entire wedding party. I also got some of my favorite photos of Claire and Rob at the green cathedral, right outside of Ma Maison, and at the bell tower!
Once we took allll the photos, we moved into the reception space to celebrate! Claire’s dad and twin sister gave the sweetest toasts.
Next came their first dances. All of their music for the night was played by the amazing Matchmaker Band! They did such an incredible job keeping guests entertained and on the dance floor all night! This band is seriously the real deal and I highly recommend hiring them for your wedding day!
To end the night Claire and Rob had an intimate last dance. I love that this trend has spread the last few years because it gives the couple some alone time together to really take in how special their day was.
Lastly, their exit was one I will never forget! All of their guests were given Whataburger to curb their late night cravings, which was such a GREAT idea. Then they made a tunnel of sparklers that the band played through followed by Claire and Rob!
